Coco (Vinyl)

The album Coco is finally available as a double vinyl and picks up where Parov Stelar's previous successful albums left off. At the same time, he consistently develops his sound, adding exciting new stylistic elements to his tried-and-tested jazzy tones. The two vinyl records of the double album can be seen as a division between the more danceable tracks and those intended for listening. However, this boundary increasingly blurs in Parov Stelar's current compositions, and the album thus forms less of a two-part work and more of a homogeneous flow of tracks that steadily gain in danceability. The musician himself sees the whole thing as a "book for the musical reader," in which there is a clear, classic division into introduction, middle, and conclusion. Due to the fast pace of our times and the tendency to "listen to" albums only briefly, the engagement with less obvious songs is lost. Parov Stelar intends "Coco" to be a counterpoint to this.
